Pre-surgery Instructions

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your surgery please contact us immediately.

If you will need a medication refill please contact our office 48 hours prior to running out.

One week prior to surgery you should discontinue blood thinning products unless directed by your doctor.  These medications could include but are not limited to Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, Coumadin, Plavix, and Naproxen.

The St. Cloud Hospital/St. Cloud Surgery Center will contact you with the time of surgery.  They will contact you  one week prior for pre-registration.  Your second call will be 24-48 hours prior to surgery, at this time they will give you the exact surgery time.

Starting midnight before surgery please do no have anything to eat or drink.  We ask that you also refrain from smoking and chewing tobacco.

If surgery is at the St. Cloud Hospital arrive at Center for Surgical Care.  Enter through Door A (next to ER), take Elevator A, down to Level A.

If surgery is scheduled at the St. Cloud Surgery Center please arrive at Door A.

Your first post op appointment will be set up prior to your discharge.  This appointment will likely be scheduled in six weeks with one of our Physician Assistants.  A two-week appointment with your family doctor or us will be made if staples/sutures need to be removed.
